Trinasolar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ecohope Solar covering the planned distribution of 600 megawatts (MW) of its latest solar modules across Southeast Asia over the next three years.
The agreement was signed during the SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai and covers Trinasolar’s Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 modules. Thailand has been identified as a key market under the partnership, which will support residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar projects across the region. Beyond Southeast Asia, the cooperation also covers selected markets in the Middle East and Africa.
Under the MoU, Ecohope Solar intends to purchase and distribute 600 MW of the modules, strengthening access to high-efficiency solar technologies as demand for renewable energy continues to grow across Southeast Asia.
Henry Yuan, Founder and CEO of Ecohope Solar, said customers are increasingly seeking stronger returns from solar investments and technologies that can support long-term project performance.
“Customers across our markets are under pressure to deliver stronger project returns from every installation. The Vertex G3 portfolio gives us access to high-output, reliable module technology that supports better system design and long-term value,” Yuan said.
The Vertex N G3 modules are powered by Trinasolar’s latest n-type i-TOPCon Ultra technology and offer power output of up to 760 watts and efficiency of up to 24.5%, according to the company. The modules are designed for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale applications, while the Vertex S+ G3 series targets residential and commercial rooftop installations.
Trinasolar said the technology is designed to generate more electricity while helping reduce overall system costs, making solar projects more efficient and cost-effective.
Todd Li, President of Trinasolar Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, said the partnership reflects growing demand for integrated energy solutions that combine solar generation with energy storage technologies.
“Ecohope Solar has a strong regional footprint across PV and energy storage, making it a relevant partner as customers move toward more integrated energy solutions,” Li said.
He added that the agreement could pave the way for broader cooperation in both solar photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage solutions in the future.
The partnership comes as countries across Southeast Asia continue to expand renewable energy deployment to strengthen energy security, diversify power generation sources, and support decarbonization goals.
For the Philippines, the deal highlights how global manufacturers are positioning themselves to meet rising regional demand for advanced solar technologies as governments and businesses accelerate investments in clean energy.
Founded in 1997, Trinasolar provides solar modules, energy storage systems, trackers, and smart energy solutions in more than 180 countries and regions worldwide.
As Southeast Asia accelerates its renewable energy ambitions, will partnerships like this help make next-generation solar technologies more accessible across the region, including the Philippines?
