A.T. Yuchengco Centre (ATYC), a 34-story office tower in Bonifacio Global City, shifted to 100% renewable energy (RE) through a retail electricity supply agreement with ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES).
“This collaboration underscores the importance of the commercial real estate sector in enabling the energy transition. ACEN is committed to supporting organizations like A.T. Yuchengco Centre in reaching their sustainability goals, contributing to a greener and more resilient future for the Philippines,” said ACEN president and CEO Eric Francia.
Through this agreement, ACEN RES will provide renewable energy from its comprehensive portfolio to power the 34-story tower.
This shift to clean energy could eliminate around 32,337 metric tons of carbon emissions annually.
ATYC, Inc., part of House of Investments, Inc., acquired the A.T. Yuchengco Centre from Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation in 2022. This strategic acquisition positions ATYC, Inc. as a key player in the office real estate sector.
Meanwhile, ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions (ACEN RES), a division of ACEN and the retail electricity supply arm of the Ayala Group, is spearheading efforts in renewable energy. ACEN’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its leadership role in the transition to cleaner energy sources.
