Asia Energy Co. (AECO Energy), in collaboration with Shell Energy Philippines, Inc., held a signing ceremony with Everlast Agro Industrial Corp. to mark the renewal of their partnership. The event solidified a three-year extension of their agreement following the expiration of Everlast’s initial one-year contract with AECO Energy.
Under the renewed partnership, AECO Energy will exclusively manage the electricity procurement needs for Everlast’s Batangas facility. This collaboration builds on AECO Energy’s previous success in assisting Everlast Agro Industrial Corp. to transition to a new Retail Electricity Supplier (RES) as a first-time participant in the Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) program.
The RCOA, established under Republic Act No. 9136 or the Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001, allows contestable customers—those with a monthly average usage of around 500 kilowatts over the past year—to select their preferred electricity suppliers.

The signing ceremony also marked Everlast’s official entry into AECO Energy’s Channel Partner Program as an affiliate partner, further deepening the ties between the two organizations. Present at the event were key representatives from both companies and their partners, including Bernd Krukenberg, President of Shell Energy Philippines; Engr. Lorenzo Miguel Mercado, Plant Director of Everlast Agro Industrial; Pilamar Ozaeta, President of Everlast Agro Industrial; and Debbie Alfonso, General Manager of AECO Energy.
AECO Energy, a Singapore-based energy technology and services firm, entered the Philippine market with a mission to deliver customer-centric solutions. As Debbie Alfonso stated in a previous report, the company’s experts aim to “work closely with customers to help them reduce their costs, drive efficiency, and make better buying decisions.” She also emphasized AECO Energy’s goal to create a “profound impact” by providing technology-based, data-led energy solutions that position customers for long-term sustainable growth.
