Coastal Renewable Energy Technology Center (CRETC) and German company Ammonit GmbH are bolstering their collaboration to introduce wind resource assessment solutions to the wind energy industry.
Manila Standard reported that the partnership was reasserted during Ammonit GmbH’s 35th-anniversary celebration in Berlin, Germany, where the company highlighted its global contributions to wind energy innovation.
Through this collaboration, Ammonit seeks to supply the renewable energy (RE) sector with wind resource assessment tools known for their precision, reliability, and durability in diverse environmental conditions.
CRETC Vice President and General Manager Peter Castro expressed optimism about the alliance, emphasizing its potential to drive sustainable energy progress.
Castro noted that the integration of Ammonit’s globally acclaimed technology with CRETC’s local expertise will enhance community empowerment, reduce carbon emissions, and strengthen the country’s energy security.
Wind resource assessment is particularly significant in the Philippines due to its unique geographic and climatic challenges, according to CRETC.
Accurate wind data minimizes investment risks while optimizing energy output, making it an essential factor in the successful implementation of renewable energy projects.
The partnership reflects the shared commitment of CRETC and Ammonit to advancing the Philippine government’s energy transition goals, promoting long-term sustainable growth, and positioning the country as a key player in the global renewable energy market.
