DOE implements work-from-home arrangement for its stakeholders

DOE pushes for both conventional and renewable energy investments

The Department of Energy (DOE) has implemented as a precautionary measure a skeletal work and work-from-home setup for its employees, following the directive of the Office of the President against the threat of the Corona Virus Disease-2019 (COVID-19).

The said work schemes have been in place from March 16 to April 14, 2020. Workers included in the skeletal workforce will be in the office from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in line with the implemented curfew.

“Nonetheless, the DOE remains committed to provide service to the people and is ready to address all immediate energy concerns during this period. We therefore encourage our stakeholders, taking into consideration social distancing, to send energy concerns to DOE’s official mobile number of Bureaus/Offices and emails,” DOE Secretary Alfonso Cusi was quoted in a statement.

“The DOE, along with the whole government, wishes for the safety of everyone. We will try our best to ensure that energy services will be delivered by the whole energy industry, as efficient as possible, despite the scenario we are facing until we reach normalcy,” Cusi added.
