EVAP recognized as driving force for sustainable transpo by GEAN

The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) has been acknowledged by the Global Electric Vehicle Network (GEAN) as a significant contributor to the promotion of sustainable transportation options in the country during the 10th International Electric Vehicle Expo in Korea, in a report by Manila Bulletin.

The Chairman of GEAN, Daehhwan Kim, presented an award to Edmund Araga, president of EVAP, for his endeavors in advocating for eco-friendly transportation solutions in Asia as the president of the Asian Federation EV Associations (AFEVA).

According to Araga, who was accompanied by EVAP Chairman Rommel Juan, the event was an excellent platform for showcasing the progress made by EVAP in promoting electric vehicles (EVs) in the Philippines.

Additionally, Araga emphasized that the event provided an avenue for EVAP to learn from other countries and explore innovative technologies that could be potentially applied in the Philippines.

The Philippine delegation met with other EV organizations to discuss the promotion of EV adoption. They also viewed the latest EV models and technologies displayed at the expo.

Araga stated that the visit to Korea was a crucial step for both the EVAP and the Philippine EV sector, indicating the EVAP’s determination to drive sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation solutions in the Philippines.
