Frontier Tower Associates Philippines Inc. has assumed ownership and management of power systems across more than 700 telecommunications sites where Globe Telecom is a tenant.
The company said the transition covers DC power equipment and backup systems, including diesel generators, battery systems, and related assets across its build-to-suit sites nationwide.
By taking full control of these power assets, Frontier said it will now provide comprehensive power assurance and site resilience, ensuring continuous operations across its network of telecom sites.
The sites are geographically distributed across the country, with Frontier leveraging its operations teams to monitor, maintain, and respond to power-related issues.
The move also enables Frontier to deliver end-to-end integrated tower and power solutions across all its sites with Globe, consolidating both infrastructure and power management under a single operator.
For Globe, the transition allows the company to sharpen its operational focus while maintaining network reliability, with power systems now managed by Frontier.
The development reflects a broader trend among tower companies to expand beyond passive infrastructure and take on more active roles in ensuring network performance, particularly in areas such as power management and resilience.
Frontier Towers is a subsidiary of Pinnacle Towers, which invests in and operates telecommunications infrastructure across the region. The company focuses on towers and related assets in the Philippines and is backed by global investment firm KKR and institutional investor BCI.
