The Philippines is seen to emerge as a leader in renewable energy developments in Southeast Asia by 2030, industry leader, GoodWe, said.
“Renewable energy in the Philippines has reached a tipping point, and the nation is set to emerge as the Southeast Asian leader by 2030,” GoodWe said in a statement, following the 2023 Philippines Photovoltaic (PV) Technical Roadshow.
Citing data from Global Energy Monitor (GEM), GoodWe revealed that the Philippines is on track to add 17, 809 megawatts (MW) of solar capacity and 7, 856 MW of wind power.
The roadshow, hosted by GoodWe, Jinko Solar, and Clenergy, discussed the opportunities and challenges within the country’s solar energy market.
This partnership with other solar companies is to support and strengthen the Philippines’ goal to transition to renewable energy.
Also during the event, GoodWe revealed its HT250kW and LV-SMT that were fitted to suit the energy market of the country.
The HT250kW serves as a Ground Utility Inverter, providing various MPPT choices, and intelligent monitoring at the string level, and offers suitability with bifacial modules. The LV-SMT is a three-phase inverter that is specifically designed for commercial rooftops.
GoodWe Senior Solution Engineer, Eric Yang, discussed how would the company’s solutions for commercial and utility-scale systems empower project owners to reduce initial investment costs, maximize electricity generation, and streamline operation and maintenance.
GoodWe reinforced its commitment to supporting the country’s goal of transitioning to renewable energy.
