The board of government-owned National Transmission Corporation (TransCo) has named Atty. Jainal Abidin Bahjin II as its new President and CEO.
TransCo made the announcement on Monday, following the appointment of its former chief Atty. Melvin Matibag, who was appointed as acting Cabinet Secretary two weeks ago.
Prior to his appointment as TransCo president, Bahjin became the Right-of-Way Litigation Department’s department manager in April 2017. He was also the arbiter of the Housing and Land Use and Regulatory Board.
Bahjin also served in the Department of Justice.
A Tausug, Bahjin obtained his economics degree from the San Beda University in 1999 before graduating with a law degree from the Ateneo De Manila University in 2007. He joined the Philippine Bar in 2009.
