The Philippine Infrastructure and Construction Club (PICC) is organizing a key industry event, “Philippine Sustainable and Resilient Energy Future,” on June 20, 2025, at Seda BGC, Taguig City. The forum will bring together senior leaders, government officials, and energy sector stakeholders to examine the challenges and solutions shaping the country’s energy future.
The event will feature presentations from top executives including Donnabel Kuizon Cruz, President and CEO of Prime Energy Resources Development B.V., and Ignacio Domecq, Managing Director for Southeast Asia of Acciona Energia. Discussions will cover topics such as the role of natural gas in securing Luzon’s baseload supply, the transition to renewable energy, and the application of global best practices in local energy infrastructure planning.

PICC aims to position the forum as a platform to promote dialogue on pressing energy issues—ranging from energy security and diversification to investment in renewable technologies and grid modernization. Participants will include developers, investors, regulators, engineering firms, and academic experts involved in infrastructure and energy systems development.
Among the main topics to be addressed are:
- Extending the operational life of the Malampaya gas field and its role in ensuring stability in Luzon’s power grid.
- Applying international models to enhance project delivery and sustainability in Philippine renewable energy development.
- Opportunities and barriers in adopting new energy technologies and expanding public-private partnerships.
The event comes at a time when the Philippines is accelerating its clean energy transition. With government targets of increasing renewable energy’s share to 50% by 2040, forums like this play a critical role in aligning industry efforts with national energy goals.
The forum will also explore ways to enhance energy resilience amid increasing climate risks and rising power demand. Topics will include energy storage, smart grid integration, transmission investments, and policy reforms aimed at enabling long-term sustainability.
PICC is also opening sponsorship opportunities to organizations that want to demonstrate leadership in the energy and infrastructure sectors. Sponsors will gain visibility among key decision-makers and position themselves as partners in the country’s energy transition.
The forum will be held at Velvet Rooms 2 and 3 of Seda BGC. Registration is now open through the PICC website.
