Therma South Inc. and the Davao Light and Power Company were recognized as the top taxpayers of Davao City for 2017.
The two Aboitiz Power Corporation subsidiaries were named as the city’s top real property taxpayer, and top business taxpayer, respectively.
“We remain committed to being one of the city’s strong partners in development, aligned with our vision of advancing business and communities,” Therma South vice president and plant manager Valentin Saludes III said.
Therma South owns and operates the 300-megawatt Davao baseload power plant in Binugao, Toril, Davao City. While Davao Light is the third largest electric distribution utility in the Philippines which covers the cities of Davao, and Panabo and municipalities of Carmen, Dujali, and Santo Tomas.
