RASLAG, PELCO I Seal 15MW Solar Power Deal to Boost Pampanga’s Green Energy

RASLAG Corp. and Pampanga I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PELCO I) have formalized a landmark 15-megawatt Power Supply Agreement (PSA) to deliver clean, renewable energy to Pampanga. Signed during a ceremonial event at Marriott Hotel, Clark Field Zone, the agreement marks a pivotal step toward sustainable energy in the region.

The PSA, signed by RASLAG President and CEO Robert Gerard B. Nepomuceno and PELCO I Board President Darius L. Cunanan, leverages RASLAG’s solar power facilities, specifically the RASLAG-4 solar power plant, to supply PELCO I with renewable energy for 10 years, pending approval from the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC)..

“The ceremonial signing marks a significant milestone in the parties’ shared commitment to advancing clean and sustainable energy in Pampanga,” RASLAG stated in its SEC Form 17-C filing.

The agreement aligns with Pampanga’s growing demand for reliable and eco-friendly electricity, positioning RASLAG and PELCO I as leaders in the province’s transition to renewables. By harnessing solar power, the collaboration reduces reliance on fossil fuels, offering a model for other cooperatives and energy providers in the Philippines.

As the parties prepare to file for ERC approval, the agreement sets a precedent for public-private partnerships in advancing clean energy solutions. The signing event, attended by key officials from both organizations, highlighted the cooperative spirit driving this initiative.
