AboitizPower-Vivant JV CPPC to conclude operations by end-2026

Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower) has confirmed that Cebu Private Power Corporation (CPPC), its joint venture with the Vivant Group, will formally conclude its corporate term by December 31, 2026, following approval from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The move follows the successful completion of CPPC’s cooperation agreement with Visayan Electric Company, Inc. and the full transfer of plant assets to Meridian Power Inc. (MPI) in 2023. MPI now manages and operates the facility.

The dissolution is a corporate housekeeping measure and will not affect the ongoing operations of the power plant, which continues to supply energy under MPI’s management.

AboitizPower and Vivant emphasized their continued commitment to the Cebu market, stating that both groups, through their respective operating entities, remain actively involved in supporting the region’s energy needs.
