The SOLARIS NING*NING project is the first grid-connected, utility-scale solar rooftop installation within a social housing community. Its pilot location is at Pasinaya Homes Prime Central in Naic, Cavite.
Renewable energy firm Jin Navitas Solaris, Inc. (SOLARIS) has earned international recognition for a pioneering solar project that links clean energy generation with social housing.
The company won Gold for ESG Integration Excellence and Silver for Sustainable Renewable Energy Initiative at the Asian Power Awards 2025, held in Kuala Lumpur on October 23. SOLARIS now joins top energy players in the Asia-Pacific region, including Meralco PowerGen and Aboitiz Power, recognized for innovative projects.

The award-winning NING*NING Solar Rooftop Project installs solar panels on rooftops within socialized housing communities, feeding electricity to the grid. Revenue from electricity sales funds community programs such as roof maintenance, street lighting, waste management, and shared solar facilities.
“NING*NING shows that clean energy can do more than power homes—it can uplift communities, preserve farmland, and directly share its benefits with people,” said Jose Alfonso Miras, SOLARIS President and CEO.
The pilot project at Pasinaya Homes Prime Central in Naic, Cavite, energized in 2024, now covers 1,986 homes. It generates enough electricity to power thousands of households and cuts 6,233 metric tons of CO₂ emissions annually. SOLARIS plans to expand the model across Cavite, Bulacan, and Pampanga, targeting 35 MW of rooftop capacity under the Department of Energy’s Green Energy Auction Program.
