Triconti Windkraft Secures 150 MW of Wind Projects in Quezon and Bohol Under GEA-4

Triconti Windkraft Group (TWG) secured two wind power projects in the Department of Energy’s fourth Green Energy Auction (GEA-4), marking a new expansion phase for the Filipino-Swiss developer.

The projects are located in Atimonan, Quezon and Anda, Bohol. Both are expected to deliver 120 to 150 megawatts (MW) of new wind capacity between 2027 and 2028.

This output can supply electricity to 153,000 to 192,000 households each year. The projects will help reduce dependence on imported fuel and support the long-term goal of energy independence.

TWG President and CEO Lila M. Rosenberger said the company wants the projects to generate value beyond electricity supply.

“Through these projects, we aim to do more than supply renewable energy,” Rosenberger said.

“We want to create lasting benefits for our host communities—generating jobs, supporting local businesses, and investing in programs that help improve quality of life. Our vision is to make clean energy a driver of inclusive growth.”

GEA-4 signaled strong demand for renewable capacity under the DOE’s policy framework.
The auction’s results confirm investor interest and reflect the government’s push for sustainability, economic development, and energy security.

Winning bidders are expected to deliver their committed capacity within set timelines. Projects awarded under this round are aligned with the broader transition to indigenous energy sources and market-driven renewable pricing.

The Atimonan and Anda projects add to TWG’s pipeline of more than 4 gigawatts (GW) of onshore and offshore wind developments across the country. This positions TWG as one of the largest independent wind developers in the Philippines.

TWG is also the first developer to secure offshore wind service contracts under the DOE’s offshore wind framework. These contracts cover multiple sites that will undergo further resource studies and technical reviews.

Will the expansion of wind power help strengthen the country’s shift to indigenous energy?
