TOP taps Uncle John’s retail chain to anchor Light Fuels stations

Top Line Business Development Corp. (TOP) is integrating convenience retail into its fuel network through a partnership with Robinsons Retail Holdings, Inc., positioning non-fuel income as a key growth lever for its expanding Light Fuels stations.

In a disclosure with the Philippine Stock Exchange today, the Cebu-based fuel distributor said it has named Uncle John’s, Robinsons Retail’s convenience store brand, as the anchor tenant for all Tier 1 Light Fuels stations.
The company said Uncle John’s outlets will be rolled out across its full-service sites, which are designed to host convenience stores, food operators, and other tenants in high-traffic corridors. These locations are expected to drive footfall beyond fuel purchases, a model increasingly adopted by downstream oil players seeking to diversify margins.

“Our partnership with Robinsons Retail elevates the Light Fuels experience by combining mobility and everyday convenience in one location.” said Eugene Erik Lapasaran Lim, chairman, president, and CEO of TOP.

“Having Uncle John’s as our anchor tenant strengthens customer traffic across our stations while allowing us to diversify revenue through non-fuel sales and leasing income. This supports our strategy of building service-oriented stations that generate multiple income streams,” he added.

TOP added that many of its stations are located in underserved provincial areas, where the integration of fuel and retail services could improve access to daily essentials.

For Robinsons Retail, the partnership supports Uncle John’s expansion into provincial markets and transport-linked locations, broadening its footprint outside traditional urban centers.

TOP currently operates 18 service stations, with 32 more under construction or renovation and slated for phased completion by end-2026. The company said the rollout of Uncle John’s stores will proceed progressively as new sites become operational.
