Shell Business Operations (SBO) Manila has been named one of the world’s top Global Business Services (GBS) employers for 2026 by research and advisory firm Everest Group, a recognition that underscores the Philippines’ competitiveness as a hub for high-value business and technology services supporting the energy sector.

The recognition places the Philippines among the leading GBS employer markets after Everest Group evaluated more than 400 GBS organizations across India, Poland, and the Philippines.

According to Everest Group, the assessment is based on an independent, data-driven evaluation of employer brand perception, drawing from employee sentiment and publicly available information to gauge how organizations are viewed in the talent market.

SBO Manila supports more than 150 Shell companies in over 50 countries, providing end-to-end services across finance, human resources, corporate functions, contracts and procurement, technology, renewables, and downstream operations.

The organization said the recognition reflects its efforts to foster employee development, leadership, wellbeing, collaboration, and innovation.

Guided by its vision of being “an innovative global business delivery partner enabling maximum value for Shell,” SBO Manila said it plays a key role in supporting Shell’s **Powering Progress Together** strategy by delivering services that create business value while helping enable the company’s energy transition initiatives.

Jason Peckmore, Shell General Manager for Real Estate – Strategy and Portfolio, received the Top GBS Employer 2026 Award on behalf of the organization during the awarding ceremony.

Meanwhile, Theodore Leonin, head of SBO Manila and Real Estate Philippines, addressed employees during the organization’s town hall following the recognition.
