The Aboitiz Power Corporation (Aboitiz Power) has been awarded three Golden Arrow Award recognitions in the 2022 ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (AGCS) assessment for publicly listed companies, following its continued efforts for sustainable business and community advancement.
The company garnered a score of 105.86 out of 130. In a statement, Aboitiz Power said that this marks the company’s “compliance with the Philippine Code of Corporate Governance and a favorable standing with international best practices.”
“This award reaffirms the team’s adherence to the shared responsibility of sustainably managing the organization. This further motivates us to champion the highest corporate governance and ethical standards as we continue to grow the business,” Aboitiz Power president and CEO Emmanuel Rubio said in a statement.
The Aboitiz Group launched its Great Transformation move in 2022, as it looks to be the country’s first techglomerate.
Under this, Aboitiz Power reiterated its mission of “Transforming Energy for a Better World” through decarbonization, digitalization, and decentralization of its power generation and distribution assets.
The company earlier set a goal of expanding its renewable energy portfolio to 4.,600 megawatts, or 50% of its generation mix in the next decade.
