AC Energy Holdings Inc. is looking to finish its 75-megawatt (MW) wind project in Indonesia by next year.
The Ayala-owned company said that Indonesia’s first utility-scale wind farm is at already 70 percent completed and is seen to be ready for commercial operations by the first quarter of 2018.
The installation of 30 Gamesa G114 2.5 MW wind turbine generators begun in August lead by project company PT UPC Sidrap Bayu Energi.
AC Energy signed a deal with the UPC Renewables Indonesia Ltd in January to develop the $150 million, 75 MW wind power project Sulawesi, Indonesia.
The company is currently expanding its portfolio in Southeast Asia.
Apart from the Indonesia wind project, AC Energy also has a 20 percent stake in Star Energy (Salak-Darajat) B.V who acquired Chevron’s geothermal operations in Indonesia.
