Alternergy Holdings Corporation says that it has appointed two financial advisors to assist with its upcoming capital-raising initiative aimed at supporting the company’s goal of reaching 500 MW in renewable energy capacity.
In a regulatory filing, Alternergy disclosed that financing firms AlphaPrimus Advisors and Astris Finance will provide expertise in structuring the capital raising framework to fund the corporation’s ambitious expansion plans.
This initiative came after Alternergy’s impressive success in securing Php 20 billion in funding in just 15 months since its public listing in March 2023.
“We are advancing to the next phase of our capital raising program. We are excited to partner and work closely with AlphaPrimus and Astris Finance who have strong track record of successfully closing M&A deals both locally and internationally,” said Alternergy president Gerry P. Magbanua.
AlphaPrimus Advisors would provide extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) advisory and debt advisory, having successfully advised on nearly 80 transactions worth over USD 37 billion. They are particularly renowned for their work in the power and renewable energy sectors in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Astris Finance, a global transaction advisory firm, specializes in energy transition projects and has completed over USD 60 billion in transactions globally. Its strong presence in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, positions it well to support Alternergy’s growth plans.
The funds raised will play a crucial role in Alternergy’s ongoing efforts to scale its renewable energy capacity, contributing to the Philippines’ energy transition and sustainability goals, creating more job opportunities, and contributing to the economic growth of the renewable energy sector.
With Alternergy’s capital raising efforts, the company is not only advancing its goals but also helping to secure a more sustainable and energy-efficient future for the Philippines. Stay updated on this groundbreaking initiative as it unfolds by tuning in to Power Philippines.
