Basic Energy Corp. (BSC) has activated the first electric vehicle (EV) charging stations under its partnership with AC Mobility, marking the commercial rollout of a joint network that has nearly 90 more sites in various stages of development nationwide.
The listed energy firm disclosed that its wholly owned subsidiary, Basic Energy Renewables Corp. (BERC), has completed the installation of two EV charging stations at the Total service station along the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and the Eco Oil service station in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
Each site is equipped with one 120-kilowatt (kW) direct current (DC) fast charger and one 22-kW alternating current (AC) charger, with both facilities now accessible to the public.
The operational sites represent the first completed installations under the partnership announced in October 2025, as the companies continue expanding their planned EV charging network.
Basic Energy said two additional charging stations—at Total Sumulong and EcoOil Cainta—are currently under construction. Another 16 sites are in the design and costing stage, while 20 locations are undergoing site surveys.
At least 51 more prospective sites are also being assessed for feasibility.
The company said the project forms part of its strategy to expand its renewable energy portfolio while participating in the development of the country’s EV ecosystem.
