Food and beverage company Fly Ace Corporation has partnered with First Gen Corporation to directly source renewable geothermal energy for its operations, marking the latest collaboration between a major Philippine consumer goods company and one of the country’s leading renewable energy providers as businesses continue to pursue sustainability and decarbonization initiatives.
The agreement, finalized in April 2026, enables Fly Ace to aggregate approximately 1,420 kilowatts (kW) of electricity demand from its corporate office in Pasay City and other facilities in Manila and Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The power supply will come from First Gen’s Unified Leyte Geothermal Plants.
The arrangement forms part of Fly Ace’s efforts to strengthen its sustainability initiatives while improving operational efficiency across its facilities.
“We are at a point where we would like to grow responsibly and sustainably, making a more meaningful impact beyond building strong consumer brands. Our partnership with First Gen will enable us to expand our business while reducing our carbon footprint and optimizing our power consumption in the process,” said Fly Ace Corporation President Lucio Cochanco Jr.
The company is one of the country’s established food and beverage firms, with a portfolio that includes brands such as Jolly, Doña Elena, Jolly Heart Mate, and Good Life. Over the years, Fly Ace has also expanded into frozen goods and pet care while maintaining partnerships with international brands including Lotus Biscoff, Welch’s, and Mott’s.
The renewable energy partnership reflects a growing trend among Philippine companies seeking cleaner power sources as part of broader sustainability and environmental goals.
For First Gen, the agreement adds another corporate customer to its renewable energy portfolio as it continues supporting businesses pursuing decarbonization efforts.
“It is a privilege to forge a collaborative partnership with Fly Ace as they aim to improve operational efficiency while establishing sustainability goals. We are committed to supporting them in achieving milestones in their decarbonization journey,” said First Gen Chief Customer Engagement Officer Carlo Vega.
First Gen is one of the country’s largest providers of renewable energy, with approximately 1,700 megawatts (MW) of generating capacity from hydro, geothermal, solar, and wind facilities nationwide.
The company is targeting 9 gigawatts (GW) of renewable energy capacity by 2030 through projects in the Philippines and Indonesia.
