As countries all over the world, including the Philippines, shift to a more sustainable approach to energy efficiency and net zero practices, experts will come together to discuss innovations in the industries during the Net Zero Building & Net Zero City Summit Philippines 2023.
The one-day event, slated on January 10, 2023, at Dusit Thani Manila, will bring together stakeholders in the value chain for net zero building, energy efficiency, building technology, environmental, social and governance (ESG), and smart city development.
The flagship event is set to discuss climate ambition, net zero pathways, energy efficiency, electric mobility business models, smart cities and buildings, circular economy, sustainable urban development, and ESG.
Among the experts to grace the conference includes Department of Energy Energy Utilization Management Bureau director Patrick Aquino; Climate Change Commission vice chairperson and executive director Sec. Robert Borge, Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance president Alexander Alblaza, NEO chief executive officer Raymond Rufino, World Green Building Council programmes head for Asia Joy Esther Gai, and Philippine Green Building Council Advancing Net Zero Philippines program manager Mario Lawrence Suelto.
Meanwhile, Department of Public Works and Highways assistant director for Bureau of Design Danila L. Balisi, who is also the Chair of the conference, will be giving the welcome address and opening remarks of the event.
The event will also feature an exhibition of the world’s leading technological innovations in urban planning, carbon management, and building solutions.
Buildings and cities are critical factors in the transition towards a net zero future it is accountable for around 50% of energy consumption and around 40% of greenhouse gas emission.
