Meralco has energized its newly constructed Osorio (Conchu) Substation in Cavite, adding system capacity and strengthening power reliability for customers in Trece Martires and General Trias.

The project includes a new 83 megavolt amperes power transformer bank, three 115-kilovolt gas circuit breakers, six 115-kV disconnect switches, 115-kV sub-transmission lines, and a control house with 34.5-kV indoor modular switchgear.

These facilities help move and manage electricity more reliably across the local distribution network, giving Meralco more capacity to serve growing demand in the area.

The Osorio (Conchu) Substation is expected to benefit commercial and residential customers in Trece Martires and General Trias.

Among the customers served by the upgraded system are Trece Martires City Hall, City of General Trias Doctors Medical Center Inc., Lyceum of the Philippines University, and Eagle Ridge Golf and Residential Estates.

Meralco said the project forms part of its continuing efforts to expand and upgrade its distribution network to support economic growth, strengthen system redundancy, and deliver high-quality service across its franchise area.
