Meralco Networks retains ISO 9001 certification after clean audit

The Manila Electric Company (Meralco) Networks Group has retained its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification after completing its second surveillance audit with zero non-conformities.

The audit, conducted by TÜV SÜD from June 22 to 26, 2026, assessed the group’s quality management system across the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of Meralco’s electric distribution system and related services.

Meralco said the zero non-conformity result reflected the Networks Group’s continued compliance with internationally recognized quality-management standards and the maturity of its internal processes.

“This achievement reflects the discipline, dedication, and teamwork of our people across the Networks organization,” Meralco Senior Vice President and Head of Networks Froilan J. Savet said.

“More than successfully passing an audit, it demonstrates our unwavering commitment to continuously improving our processes, enhancing operational excellence, and delivering the quality of service our customers and stakeholders deserve,” he added.

ISO 9001:2015 is an internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. It provides organizations with a framework for consistently meeting customer and regulatory requirements while promoting continual improvement and operational efficiency.

Meralco linked the retained certification to its continuing efforts to modernize and strengthen its distribution network.

The company said these initiatives support its mission of providing safe, stable, and reliable electricity service to its customers.

Can Meralco sustain the same quality-management performance as it continues upgrading and modernizing its distribution network?
