The retail electricity supplier of Manila Electric Company (MERALCO), MPower, has inked a retail supply agreement with ABS-CBN Corporation to provide stable and competitively priced electricity for its main buildings in Quezon City.

“Working with MPower ensures that ABS-CBN has stable power to support its mission of delivering quality public service and entertainment content across various media platforms in the service of the Filipino,” said ABS-CBN’s Real Estate and Development Group head Grant Orbeta.

This partnership supports ABS-CBN’s operations by ensuring secure power supply and cost-efficient rates.

Under the Competitive Retail Electricity Market (CREM), qualified consumers with a minimum electricity demand of 500 kilowatts (kW), as set by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), can select energy suppliers based on their unique requirements.

ABS-CBN has been a customer of MPower since the retail electricity supplier began its operations in June 2013.

“Our renewed partnership with ABS-CBN reflects our constant dedication to delivering retail excellence and driving growth across diverse business industries,” MERALCO First Vice President and MPower Head Redel M. Domingo.

The collaboration underscores the shared commitment of MPower and ABS-CBN to operational excellence and national economic growth, aiming to enhance the quality of life for Filipinos.
