The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) will implement transmission reinforcement projects in Bataan to face the projected power supply increase, the transmission company announced.
Regional corporate communications officer Fely Francisco said in a radio interview that the company will implement the Bataan 230-kilovolt Reinforcement Project for new power generation projects as new plants are expected to go online in the next few years.
She added that NGCP will build a 500 kV Castillejos-Hermosa transmission line that will connect the new power generators in Zambales.
The 69 kV Hermosa-Floridablanca line project, meanwhile, will ease the power overload in the Hermosa-Guagua line.
Francisco said that the three transmission projects are in the pre-construction phase, including claiming of right of way, permits and other needed documents.
These transmission projects are set to provide reliable and efficient power supply in the Luzon grid, she added.
