EEI Power Inc. (EEIPC), the energy subsidiary of construction giant EEI Corporation, fortified its relationship with MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) by supporting the utility’s 5th Anniversary celebration and sponsoring the “KuryenTee Golf Tournament” held at the Iloilo Golf and Country Club. The proceeds of which were donated to the Homeless Peoples Federation Philippines Inc., highlighting a shared commitment to community development.
The partnership between the two companies has been instrumental in advancing Iloilo’s power infrastructure. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, EEI Power collaborated with MORE Power to construct the 25/30MVA Molo Substation in Iloilo City. The alliance continued in October 2024 with EEI Power once again providing design and rehabilitation support for the same facility.
“Our partnership with EEI Power has been instrumental in transforming Iloilo’s energy infrastructure. Together, we’ve successfully delivered innovative projects like the Molo Substation, showcasing the power of collaboration in driving progress and ensuring reliable service for our communities,” said Roel Castro, President and CEO of MORE Power.
MORE Power is the exclusive electricity distributor in Iloilo City, operating under Republic Act 11212, or “an act granting more electric and power corporation a franchise to establish, operate, and maintain, for commercial purposes and in the public interest, a distribution system for the conveyance of electric power to the end users in the city of Iloilo, province of Iloilo, and ensuring the continuous and uninterrupted supply of electricity in the franchise area.”
Over the past 5 years, MORE Power has positioned itself as a key player within the local energy industry, delivering reliable and innovative electrical services to residents and business establishments in Iloilo. Their success is attributed to quality service, forward-thinking initiatives, and strong partnerships.
On the other hand, EEI Power is a Philippine Contractors Accreditation Board (PCAB) “A” licensed electro-mechanical contractor and a well established player in the energy sector. It offers Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) solutions, including electrical supply and installation, preventive maintenance, and rehabilitation and upgrading of power facilities.
“MORE Power is our valued customer and we look forward to more years and decades of partnership in modernizing and upgrading the distribution grid of Iloilo,” said Robert Marlon T. Pereja, Vice President and General Manager of EEI Power Corporation.
