Run-of-river hydropower developer Repower Energy Development Corporation (REDC) has reported a 177% surge in net income to about PHP 330 million in 2025, driven by higher electricity generation and continued capacity expansion.

In a disclosure dated April 15, the listed hydropower developer said its latest earnings nearly tripled from PHP 119 million in 2024, reflecting what it described as “robust year-on-year growth” following its 2023 initial public offering (IPO). The figure excludes contributions from a newly commissioned 18.2-megawatt hydropower plant that began operations in December 2025.

Total revenues rose to PHP 775.8 million in 2025 from PHP 533.4 million the previous year, supported by increased electricity sales and favorable feed-in-tariff adjustments.

“The performance shows that the investments we made post-IPO are now translating into real earnings growth and value to our stakeholders,” said REDC President Eric Roxas. “Our 2025 results highlight the company’s solid fundamentals and disciplined execution. The substantial growth in net income reflects both increased generation and our continued commitment to operational excellence.”

Since listing, REDC has expanded its hydropower portfolio and generating capacity, positioning itself to tap rising demand for clean and reliable energy. The company said its capital deployment strategy has focused on scaling operations across multiple assets, with several projects still in development.

REDC said it expects even stronger financial performance in 2026, with the full-year contribution of recently completed and ramping projects likely to lift earnings further.
