Seaoil Philippines has extended its fuel discount of P5 for gasoline and P3 for diesel for all frontliners, which can be availed in all Seaoil outlets.
The frontliners who can avail of this offer include medical professionals, uniformed personnel of the Armed Forces, National Police, and Coast Guard, and local government unit officials, health workers, and quarantine enforcers.
The oil firm has also extended the discount for buses participating in the “Free Ride for Health Workers” program of the Department of Transportation until May 15, according to a report.
Seaoil has been providing 50 liters of free fuel to 15 bus units that are participating in the program since April 13.
A total of 24,750 liters of fuel was already pledged by the firm, amounting to P742,500.
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Arthur Tugade has expressed his gratitude to Seaoil for its continuous support for the department’s transport initiative.
“We’re grateful for the decision of Seaoil Philippines to extend its grant of fuel subsidies until May 15. With their help, along with our partner oil firms, we can ease the burden of our bus operators in terms of filling up their tanks in their daily service to medical frontliners while the ECQ in Metro Manila is in place. Sa panahon ngayon, kailangan nating magtulungan upang umagapay sa pangangailangan ng ating mga modern heroes — our frontliners,” he said.
The DOTr has been implementing the “Free Ride for Health Workers” initiative since March 18, 2020.
