PetroGreen Energy Corporation (PGEC), the renewable energy arm of the Yuchengco Group of Companies (YGC), has received an Award of Merit in Publications at the 21st Philippine Quill Awards for its coffee table book Power in Harmony: Harnessing Energy, Protecting Nature.
The recognition was announced during the awarding ceremonies held on August 27, 2025, at the Manila Hotel.
Power in Harmony highlights PGEC’s “We Power C.A.R.E.” program, which focuses on conservation, awareness, restoration, and ecotourism. The book brings together visual storytelling and narratives that showcase how renewable energy projects can coexist with environmental protection initiatives.
The publication was produced in collaboration with the University of the Philippines–Los Baños and award-winning photographer George Tapan.
“This book demonstrates that renewable energy development and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand,” said PGEC President and CEO Francisco G. Delfin, Jr. “We are grateful for the recognition, and we share this honor with our partners who helped make this project possible.”
PGEC said the award affirms YGC’s broader commitment to community welfare, ecological protection, and nation-building alongside energy development.
The Philippine Quill Awards, organized annually by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, recognizes excellence in professional communication across industries.
