Manila Electric Company’s (MERALCO) subsidiary, MERALCO Energy, Inc. (MSERV), will energize the largest hyperscale data center of ST Telemedia Global Data Centres Philippines (STT GDC Philippines).
“We are on track for significant progress by the third quarter of this year and anticipate completing the core structure and energizing power equipment for the data center. This will be a major milestone and demonstrates our ability to deliver on this project,” said STT GDC Philippines President and CEO Carlo Malana.
Aside from energizing the facility in Fairview, Quezon City, this collaboration will also foster MSERV’s partnership with STT GDC Philippines and strengthen innovation to drive technological advancement in the digital industry.
In November 2023, MSERV secured the contract for supplying and installing essential data center electrical equipment, including high voltage gas-insulated switchgear, high voltage oil-immersed transformers, and medium voltage dry type transformers.

STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between Globe Telecom Inc., Ayala Corporation, and Singapore-based ST Telemedia Global Data Centres (STT GDC), overseeing a network of strategically situated data centers spanning Metro Manila, Cavite, and Davao.
