Alsons Lifts H1 Net Income by 21% to PHP 1.3 billion

Alsons Consolidated Resources Inc. (ACR) reported a robust performance for the first half of the year, with its net income increasing by 21% to PHP 1.3 billion from PHP 1.1 billion in 2024.

The company, in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) said its revenues from January to June 2025 reached PHP 5.8 billion, nearly matching the PHP 5.9 billion posted in the same period in 2024. Earnings attributable to the parent company grew 43% year-on-year to PHP 517 million, from PHP 362 million.

ACR Chief Finance Officer, Roberto Joaquin P. Ramos said the company showed solid results despite challenges in the market.

“Despite the challenging market and the economic impact of geo-political events, we are pleased to report a stable, profitable and strong first half performance. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and resilience of our entire team, as well as the trust and support of our stakeholders,” Ramos said. “Looking ahead, we remain confident that our momentum combined with operational discipline and our values will not only carry us through the rest of the year but in the periods to come.”

Key drivers of the company’s performance included stronger participation in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market, Siguil Hydro Power Corporation (SHPC), and Alsons Power Supply Corporation, its Retail Electricity Supply (RES) arm.

SHPC, the company’s first 14.5-megawatt hydropower plant in Maasim, Sarangani, began commercial operations in June 2024 and now runs as a must-run facility in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market, providing renewable energy to the Mindanao grid.

ACR said it is moving forward with multiple renewable energy projects, including solar and hydro developments at varying stages. The company plans to begin building its first large-scale solar facility in Mindanao within the year, marking a new phase in its clean energy expansion strategy.Follow Power Philippines on
