The Department of Energy (DOE) has issued Certificates of Good Standing (COGS) to two onshore wind projects under Airstream Renewables Corp., the wind energy development arm of NexGen Energy Corp., confirming the company’s compliance with its service contracts and regulatory requirements.
The certifications cover the Samar Wind Farm Power Project and the Pangasinan Wind Farm Power Project, both awarded to Airstream on October 30, 2025 under separate Onshore Wind Energy Service Contracts.
The Samar project, under OnWESC No. 2025-10-455, spans multiple areas in Northern Samar, including Rosario, Lavezares, Allen, Victoria, and San Isidro, as well as Calbayog City in Samar.
Meanwhile, the Pangasinan project, under OnWESC No. 2025-10-456, covers Labrador, Mabini, Infanta, and Bugallon in Pangasinan, along with Sta. Cruz in Zambales.
Both certifications were issued on April 29, 2026, stating that Airstream Renewables Corp. is a registered renewable energy developer and is compliant with its contractual obligations, the Renewable Energy Act of 2008, and other applicable rules and regulations.
The issuance of COGS signals that the projects remain in good standing with the DOE, which oversees renewable energy developments through service contracts that require developers to meet specific commitments as projects move toward implementation.
These certifications serve as part of the government’s mechanism for tracking whether awarded renewable energy projects are progressing in line with contractual obligations, particularly as developers move from project award toward actual development and eventual construction.
Airstream Renewables Corp. is building a growing pipeline of projects across the country. The company has secured multiple wind energy service contracts and is developing a portfolio of projects across Luzon and the Visayas, including both onshore and offshore wind developments.
