Pagbilao Energy confirms one dead, nine injured in Unit 3 fire

Pagbilao Energy Corporation (PEC) confirmed that one person died and nine others were injured following a fire that broke out at Unit 3 of the Pagbilao Power Station in Quezon on October 31, 2025, at around 9:00 PM.
The company said it is prioritizing the treatment and care of all affected individuals, consisting of three organic employees and seven contractor personnel.
“All injured personnel were immediately transported to the nearest medical facility for proper treatment and care. Coordination with local authorities and medical teams was swiftly undertaken to ensure each individual received the necessary attention,” PEC said in an official statement.
PEC said it has arranged transfers to specialized hospitals and is covering all medical expenses. The company assured that families of the injured and deceased are receiving comprehensive medical, financial, logistical, and emotional support.
“Out of respect for the privacy of the affected families, we also ask everyone to be mindful and avoid sharing unverified and sensitive information during this difficult time,” PEC said. “We will continue to share verified updates as they become available and fully cooperate with relevant government agencies.”
The company reaffirmed its “dedication to the safety and well-being of all of our people on-site,” and expressed gratitude to those who have shown compassion and support.
