Top Line Q1 revenues climb 75% as Light Fuels expands in Visayas

Top Line Business Development Corp. (TOP) posted strong first-quarter growth in 2026, driven by higher fuel sales volumes from its commercial fuel trade business and the continued expansion of its retail fuel segment across Visayas.

In a disclosure, the Cebu-based fuel distributor and retailer reported consolidated revenues of PHP 1.76 billion in Q1 2026, up 75.4% from PHP 1 billion in the same period last year. Net income rose 64.3% to PHP 62.27 million, while gross profit climbed 84.3% to PHP 169.90 million.

The company also reported a 43.4% increase in total fuel sales volume to 31.26 million liters from 21.80 million liters year-on-year.

“Our first-quarter performance shows the strength and resilience of our business model,” said Eugene Erik Lim, Chairman, President, and CEO of Top Line Business Development Corp.

“Commercial fuel trade remains our anchor, providing recurring income while ensuring reliable fuel supply to industrial clients that keep goods moving, equipment running, and supply chains operating across the Visayas,” he added.

Commercial fuel trade remained TOP’s largest revenue contributor during the quarter, accounting for PHP 1.62 billion or 92.2% of total revenues. The segment posted a 67% increase from PHP 970 million in the same period last year.

Meanwhile, the company’s retail fuel business under Light Fuels posted triple-digit growth as TOP expanded its presence in underserved and emerging growth areas in the Visayas.

Retail revenues surged 332% to PHP 137.20 million from PHP 31.74 million, while retail fuel volume rose 220% to 2.03 million liters from 630 thousand liters year-on-year.

The company also reported improved margins from the retail segment, with gross profit margin rising to 16.80% from 11.44% a year earlier.

“Our retail performance validates the strategic use of the IPO proceeds we raised last year for market penetration,” said Brigitte Carmel Lim, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

“We moved quickly when opportunities became available, and that accelerated our station rollout and revenue contribution,” she added.

TOP said it continues to focus on disciplined inventory management and strategic capital deployment as it expands in underserved markets.

“Our priority is to grow responsibly by maintaining financial discipline, supporting reliable fuel access, and generating long-term shareholder value,” said Atty. Constance Marie Lim, CPA, First Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.

Top Line Business Development Corp. is a Cebu-based company involved in commercial fuel trading, depot operations, and retail fuel operations in the Visayas. Its subsidiaries include Topline Logistics and Development Corp. and Light Fuels Corporation.
