Alternergy assets double to PHP 17.9B in FY2025, profit climbs to PHP 165M

Alternergy Holdings Corporation (ALTER) closed fiscal year 2025 with assets more than doubling to PHP 17.9 billion and net income rising 28% to PHP 165 million, as the renewable energy developer accelerated construction of new projects.

From PH P8.7 billion a year earlier, Alternergy’s asset base more than doubled on the back of its Triple Play Portfolio: the 4.6 MW Dupinga run-of-river hydro project, the 28 MW Solana Balsik solar facility, and two wind farms—the 128 MW Tanay and 64 MW Alabat projects. The company also reported a PHP6 billion cash position, or one-third of total assets, earmarked to complete the four projects between late 2025 and early 2026.

Revenues reached PHP360 million, up 31% year-on-year, while EBITDA grew 29% to PHP 399 million.

President Gerry P. Magbanua said Alternergy has posted strong results for the third consecutive year since its 2023 listing. “Our operating assets continue to contribute significant margins,” he said. He added that ongoing construction would further strengthen the balance sheet, noting, “Once the ongoing construction of the four projects are completed, there will be a substantial boost in ALTER’s financial standing.”

Magbanua also underscored the company’s broader trajectory. “Together with our operating projects steadily generating revenues, our projects under construction and the new pipeline of projects being put together, we are positively increasing value to our shareholders as one of the fastest growing renewable energy developers in the country,” he said.

Alternergy, listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange since March 2023, is targeting up to 500 MW of additional wind, solar, and run-of-river hydro capacity in the next two years.

Earlier this month, the company secured five projects under the Department of Energy’s 4th Green Energy Auction, forming part of the company’s Triple Play growth strategy and its target of 500 MW of additional capacity by 2026.
