Shell Pilipinas Corporation is rolling out nationwide fuel discounts from May 15 to May 21, 2026 as consumers continue to face fuel price pressures amidst volatile global oil markets.
The promo covers both four-wheel and two-wheel vehicle customers purchasing fuels at participating Shell stations nationwide. Under the program, four-wheel vehicle customers purchasing Shell FuelSave Gasoline, Shell FuelSave 95, Shell V-Power Gasoline, or Shell V-Power Racing may avail of a PHP 5 per liter discount with a minimum single-receipt purchase of PHP 1,500.
The offer carries a maximum discount of PHP 200, equivalent to up to 40 liters.
Meanwhile, motorists purchasing Shell FuelSave Diesel or Shell V-Power Diesel may receive a PHP 3 per liter discount under the same minimum purchase requirement.
The diesel offer comes with a maximum discount of PHP 180, equivalent to up to 60 liters.
Shell also introduced separate fuel discounts for motorcycle users.
Two-wheel vehicle customers may avail of a PHP 5 per liter discount on gasoline products with a minimum single-receipt purchase of PHP 200. The offer is capped at PHP 200 or up to 40 liters.
Aside from the fuel promo, Shell said customers may further maximize savings through existing loyalty and rebate programs.
These include Shell Go+ and the SM Advantage Card (SMAC), which allow customers to earn points from purchases at participating stations that may be used like cash.
Eligible users of the UnionBank Shell Power Card may also receive up to 5% rebate on fuel purchases.
The company also said it continues to participate in the Department of Energy’s fuel subsidy program for public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers.
Under the program, PUV drivers may receive a PHP 10 per liter discount on Shell FuelSave Diesel and Shell V-Power Diesel in more than 300 stations nationwide.
The rollout comes as motorists and transport operators continue managing fuel expenses amidst fluctuating oil prices and geopolitical tensions affecting global fuel markets.
Oil companies have increasingly introduced discount promos, loyalty programs, and rebate offers as consumers remain sensitive to pump price increases.
As fuel price volatility continues affecting transportation costs, will discount and loyalty programs become a bigger factor in helping motorists manage daily expenses?
